EViPRG Membership and Registration Announcement

We are delighted to announce an exciting new chapter for the International Violence and Coercion Prevention and Reduction Group (EViPRG).

‍

EViPRG is now a registered charitable organisation, marking an important milestone in our journey to strengthen international collaboration, promote evidence-informed practice, and support the prevention and reduction of violence and coercion in mental health care worldwide.

‍

As part of this development, we will shortly be launching a new members' website and online registration platform. This will provide a secure, dedicated space where members (individuals and organisations) can access exclusive resources, connect with colleagues, participate in working groups, and stay up to date with the latest research, events and opportunities across our international network.

‍

What does this mean for members?

‍

To ensure the long-term sustainability of EViPRG and provide a high-quality experience for all members, all current and new members will be asked to register through the new online platform. Existing members will also need to complete a brief registration process so that we can maintain an accurate membership register, comply with data protection requirements, and provide access to our new members-only services.

‍

Membership will cover opportunities such as;

• Exclusive members-only resources and learning materials
• International networking and collaboration opportunities
• Working groups and research partnerships
• Webinars, symposia and member events
• Funding, publication and training opportunities
• Our private EViPRG LinkedIn community
• A secure online members' directory (optional, based on your consent)

To support the ongoing administration of the charity, maintenance of the website, delivery of member activities and future development of the network, membership will include a small annual fee, with reduced rates available for students and colleagues from eligible low- and middle-income countries.

Why are we making these changes?

‍

Over the past decade, EViPRG has grown into a vibrant international network of researchers, clinicians, educators, policymakers, advocates, carers and people with lived experience. As our community has expanded, so too has the need for a more sustainable, secure and professionally managed membership system.

Our new platform will enable us to:

• provide GDPR-compliant management of member information
• improve communication and member engagement
• offer exclusive resources and collaboration opportunities
• support the continued growth of the network
• strengthen EViPRG's ability to deliver international projects, partnerships and events.

The new registration platform will open in the next 6 months. We encourage all existing members to register as soon as it becomes available so that you can continue to enjoy the full benefits of EViPRG membership and remain connected with our growing international community.
